Mas de la Gache is a farmhouse from the 17th century, lying outside of the village of Goudargues. With river the Cèze as a natural barrier, between us and Goudargues, Mas de la Gache lays on the foot of a hill in the middle of nature. Goudargues is a small willage in the Gard ()department in southern France). Known locally as the Venise Gardoise, because of the canal that flows through it centre. This is lined with pavement cafés and shaded by a two rows of mature plane trees. Goudargues is a lively village and the center for tourism in the Cèze valley. It's here that you'll find all your basic needs: restaurants, cafés, shops, butcher, bakery, supermarket and the weekly local market on wednessday. The ambience in the village is that what you know as "the provence", but for the locals it's 'le midi'.
In and around Goudargues you'll also find lots of things to do, espacially when you like outdoor activitées like biking, hiking, canoeing or just jumping in the river and dry up in the warm sun. Positioned between Nimes, Avignon and the Ardeche, Goudargues is also the perfect spot to make daytrips to cities like Vaison la Romaine, or the pont du Gard, The theatre in orange, the arene of Nimes, the grotte de Chauvet, the fetival d'Avignon, the palais du Pape or the Gorges of the Ardeche.
